Lhasa Apso dog is a very friendly yet assertive breed. The Lhasa Apso dog is suspicious of strangers by nature. Lhasa Apso are very intelligent and spirited yet devoted to family. Affectionate , these little dogs like to favor one more over the family. Lhasa Apso dogs can also be willful at times but good training can make them obedient to the dominant owner. Lhasa Apso dogs make good watch dogs. With there loud and persistent bark, the Lhasa Apso dog give the impression to intruders of a much larger dog. Lhasa Apso dog may not be well suited with children as they get to nervous around them. The Lhasa Apso dog breed are inclined to fight if they are not the only dog in the house and have excellent hearing.

The Lhasa Apso is a handsome dog and is also known as the Lhasa Terrier dog. It is a small  dog with a rich, long, straight, and silky fur that gives it a darling and graceful appearance. The Lhasa Apso dogs have double coat drapes over its entire body down the floor, and over its face including eyes thus giving it a truly charming shaggy appearance. Interestingly, this coat changes color as it ages. The colors range from gold, cream, and honey to smoke, dark grizzle, slate, and a combination of brown, white and black.
