Dachshund
Dog
A lively and sweet natured
creature, the Dachshund is a dog that makes a loyal and
devoted pet for the right owner. These dogs are well
suited to both inexperienced and experienced dog owners,
as they are adaptable, intelligent, and sociable. The
Dachshund is not the right choice for those with little
time to dedicate to a pet, as they do need love,
attention, and companionship. He tends to get along well
with older, gentler kids. The Dachshund loves to be
around other Dachshund dogs, and with early
socialization should get along fine with other pets.
When it comes to strangers the reaction of the Dachshund
can vary depending on his personality - some will be
fine with strangers and others may be aloof.
The Dachshund dog is widely popular
for its elongated body and short stumps for legs.
However, even with such a small height, This dog is quite a
strong and muscular breed of dog. Aside from its long body, it
also possesses an elongated head to match, with arched
eyebrows, a long snout or muzzle, with teeth that
possess a scissors bite. Dachshunds normally grow about
42 teeth in their lifetime. It wears an intelligent
expression on its face, thanks to its oval eyes, which,
can also come in other colors such as dark red, or brown
black. It has long ears that reach to its cheeks, and a
tail that is in line with the back. Another point of
attraction for this breed is its shiny fur, which is
uniform in length.
