The Czechoslovakian Wolf is one of the younger canine breeds as it was only recognized by the canine association of the CSSR in 1982. Just like the name implies, the Czechoslovakian Wolf looks a lot like a wolf. They are generally tall, agile and very alert.

Czechoslovakian Wolf Skills
The Czechoslovakian Wolf came about by crossbreeding German Shepherd breeds and Carpathian Wolves with the purpose of coming up with a breed that exhibited the desirable characteristics of both species. The Cz Wolf can function well as an individual or as a pack, a trait which made the ideal for military duty. Today, the Czechoslovakian Wolf is no longer on active duty in the military. Instead, the puts his skills to use as a very reliable guard and defense dog.

Czechoslovakian Wolfdog dogs Living Conditions

Czechoslovakian Wolfdog Grooming Requirements
The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog has a double coat of hair. Both the top and the undercoats form into a thick coat that covers his entire body, including the belly, the inner things, the genitalia, parts of the inner ears, and in between the toes. Standard coat colors range from yellowish gray to silver gray. Czechoslovakian Wolf breeds have the distinct “facial mask” that is common to most wolf-like breeds.

Czechoslovakian Wolfdog Health Issues
Though this hardy breed is resistant to all sorts of weather conditions, like any medium to large sized dogs, the Czech Wolfdog may be afflicted with hip dysplasia
